We are a local branch of the Registered Charity Cats Protection. We help cats south of London, England, in Croydon.

Please be aware that Croydon CP is run entirely by volunteers, most having full time jobs and families too.  As such, reponses can dometimes be delayed.  Your patience would be appreciated.

Please note that we can only deal with issues for the Croydon area. If you live outside this area please find a local branch that can help you by checking the main CP website www.cats.org.uk

Cats Protection in England has over 250 branches and 36 centres country wide. Each branch is  run by unpaid volunteers who devote themselves to the welfare of homeless cats and kittens needing our help. We also promote and can help financially with the neutering of cats and kittens (subject to eligibility).

Homing cats and kittens is a key part of our work and in

  • 2016 we found homes for 491 cats and kittens
  • 2017 was another successful year, during which Croydon Branch homed 460 cats and kittens
  • 2018 was another great year when 431 cats and kittens went to their forever homes
  • 2019 saw 284 cats and kittens go to new homes
  • 2020 we rehomed 92 cats and 108 kittens despite having to completely reorganise our adoption procedures to make sure that our volunteers and anyone we deal with during our rescue or homing work is kept safe during the global pandemic.
